Two of New South Wales’s international education stalwarts were recognised in the recent Premier’s NSW Export Awards.

UOW Global Enterprises and Global Study Partners were awarded the top prizes in the International Education and Training and Professional Services categories, respectively.

The 2023 NSW Premier’s Export Awards focused on the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Australia, awarding winners in 13 categories.

UOW Global Enterprises won the same category in 2022.

Each winner has been put forward for consideration in the National Awards Program, winners of which will be announced on November 30.

Announced in October, GSP CEO Elaine Starkey said the award was a “great recognition of the unwavering efforts of our team globally”.

“We were honoured and humbled to be the recipient of this award,” she said.

Edtech provider upGrad acquired the Australian study abroad company in an agreement worth AUD$22.5 million in 2021.

“We’re grateful for our clients and partners who trust us to deliver exceptional services globally,” GSP business development manager Mayank Kansal added.

“Exporting our expertise has been a rewarding journey, and this award reaffirms our commitment to excellence in the professional services sector.”

The 61st Australian Export Awards, to be held at Parliament House in Canberra later this month, will announce the prestigious 2023 Australian Exporter of the Year award.
