A new platform has ambitions to be a one-stop shop for study abroad, employing an AI-based engine to recommend universities and programs to prospective students all over the world.

Launching six months ago, MetaApply has already partnered with 150 universities. Speaking to The PIE, a spokesperson for the company asserted this is “just the beginning” of its plans to expand partnerships in a bid to to reach more students.

MetaApply, based out of Dubai and operation in 30+ countries, will soon be establishing 10 ‘experience centres’ across India, as part of phase one of the company’s launch, where prospective students can walk in and get personalised career counselling.

The company said its focus on establishing such centres is a signal of its dedication to simplifying the study-abroad application process.

MetaApply’s primary aim is to become the “go-to platform for students seeking global education, fostering partnerships with more institutions, and facilitating a seamless study-abroad journey for every student”, the spokesperson said.

When asked why there is a need for a new aggregator on the scene, Prashant Sali, associate director of student recruitment at MetaApply said the need comes from “critical gaps” that exist in the study abroad process.

“At MetaApply, we are building an ecosystem of international education”

“At MetaApply, we are building an ecosystem of international education, where all aspects of study abroad, right from choosing the suitable course till the job search, are covered,” said Sali.

“We stand out by offering all in one services such as accurate and timely information, career guidance and counselling, ensuring a transparent and simplified admission process, education loan, accommodation, flights, insurance, visa services all on your fingertips with our app,” he continued.

MetaStay is the brand’s accommodation partner for overseas education, while MetaInsure provides comprehensive health and travel insurance solutions tailored specifically for students.

Sali said the brand’s uniqueness lies in “the fusion of advanced AI technology and human touch, providing personalised recommendations and comprehensive support for students and education consultants”.
