Testing provider ETS has signed an agreement with OHLA English Schools and UniApplyNow to increase access of its TOEFL iBT® test.

The deal with the sister organisation will help international students interested in continuing their higher-ed journeys abroad, the companies say.

“English-language programs play an important role in the study-abroad ecosystem, as they help build students’ language proficiency skills before they commit to a full-time college or university program abroad,” said Rohit Sharma, SVP of Global Higher Education and Workskills at ETS.

“We look forward to leveraging this collaboration to help carry forward our collective missions to advance opportunity for international students to achieve their personal and professional goals.”

The MoU is the first of its kind between the testing provider and an English-language school. OHLA Schools and UniApplyNow students will also gain “access to exclusive test prep offerings”.

“We are pleased to have found a partner of the magnitude and reach of ETS,” said Jenny Nieveen, founder of OHLA Schools and CEO of UniApplyNow.

“Our primary goal since the inception of OHLA Schools and UniApplyNow, has been to create an environment where international students succeed in every stage of their academic journey.

“Having access to the tools and resources ETS offers, can only enhance the experience to students, network of agencies and government entities we work with.”
