TEDI-London signs partnership with Kaplan

The Engineering & Design Institute London has chosen Kaplan International Pathways as its international student recruitment partner, with the company also providing support for students prior to their arrival to ensure a smooth transition.
TEDI-London’s first intake with Kaplan is scheduled for September 2023, with BEng and MEng degree options available.
The MEng option is a four-year undergraduate degree with an integrated master’s degree, in which the students start off by studying a bachelor’s degree and graduate with a postgraduate qualification.
“We are excited to be partnering with Kaplan,” said Helen Merrills, director of marketing, student recruitment & admissions at TEDI-London.
“We believe their broad international reach and reputation for excellence in service and student care will help us achieve our ambition to prepare students from diverse backgrounds to become the socially aware engineers of the future.”
In the UK, Kaplan’s recruitment network will work to promote the Global Design Engineering degree programs as options for engineering education.

This will be accomplished through activities such as establishing relationships with local schools and colleges to discuss higher education options with students, participating in university search events and career fairs, and supporting the management of TEDI-London’s international scholarship portfolio.
“We are excited to accelerate the global growth of TEDI-London, building on the great foundation already in place and working in collaboration with Kaplan,” said Mark Searle, provost emeritus and university professor at Arizona State University, and a TEDI-London board of trustee director.
TEDI was founded by Arizona State University, King’s College London, and UNSW Sydney.
“TEDI-London’s global approach, celebration of diversity and close involvement of employers in their curriculum align closely with a number of our key priority focus areas – women in STEM, sustainability and employability,” added Clare Rawlins, senior vice president, marketing, admissions and recruitment at Kaplan.
Kaplan has 16 partner universities in the UK including City University of London, University of Nottingham, University of Glasgow, University of Liverpool and University of Birmingham.

The three founding universities had already been working together in the PLuS Alliance to address global problems when they recognised the need for more diverse, creative engineering students when they created TEDI-London.
