Northwood University in the US will host its new International Program Centre in the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone in the United Arab Emirates.

The Northwood University International Program Center -Ras Al Khaimah will offer bachelors of business administration programs in four majors: Finance; Management; Marketing; and Hospitality, and students will complete a minor in Business Analytics.

Western International College will operate as the non-academic infrastructure provider.

“Northwood University is delighted to partner with Western International College offering educational opportunities in Ras Al Khaimah for students coming from all over the world,” said Mamiko Reeves, assistant vice president and dean of International Programs.

“We strive to nurture and develop entrepreneurial leaders through our academic curricula and experiential learning.

“Through Northwood University education, students will put their academic knowledge into practice right away utilising their business acumen, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.”

Students will be able to gain the same degree that is issued at the Michigan campus in the US at affordable costs and saving the logistics of relocation, the partners added.

Along with scholarships, options will be open to students to study in the UAE for two years before transferring to the US campus.

Scotland’s University of Stirling opened a campus in the RAKEZ in 2018, with Planet One Education as the non-academic infrastructure provider.

“We are glad to welcome yet another renowned institution to our growing family of qualified education providers at RAKEZ Academic Zone ecosystem,” said Ramy Jallad, Group CEO of RAKEZ.

Northwood University is the first American university in the Academic Zone, he continued.
