Fisher College in the US has announced a partnership with pathway provider Kings Education as the institution seeks to increase the number of international students on its Boston campus.

The institution will host Kings’ new pathways location in the US city, where Kings students will be able to benefit from a wider selection of majors and fields of study.

Kings also has a school at Pine Manor College in Boston, where the provider delivers English language programs.

“This new partnership reflects the College’s desire to collaborate with organisations that share our vision of educating students from around the world,” Robert Melaragni, vice president of Enrollment Management at Fisher College, said.

“We aim to provide guaranteed pathways into top 50 and top 100 nationally-ranked universities in the US”

Director of Kings in the US, Jose Antonio Flores, emphasised students would be “assured of a warm welcome and excellent academic opportunities at Fisher College”.

“We are privileged to partner with an institution as well-regarded as Fisher College,” Flores noted.

“We are excited to attract students from all over the world to the unrivalled and iconic Boston location which the College enjoys.”

Kings remains on the campus of Pine Manor College only to deliver English language programs, Kings’ marketing director Andrew Green added.

“Fisher College will give Kings the opportunity to recruit international students into a wider selection of majors and fields of study, including graduate studies.

“Also, starting next semester, Pine Manor College will not be accepting new students into their academic programs,” he said.

Currently, international students make up around 20% of Fisher’s total student population.

Earlier in 2020, Kings announced three partnerships with US universities in California, New York and Wisconsin.

The US represents an opportunity for specialist providers offering a targeted and unique proposition, Green continued.

“As we further define our positioning within the space we aim to provide guaranteed pathways into the top 50 and top 100 nationally-ranked universities in the US.

“To this end, we continue to expand our portfolio by way of new targeted partnerships which can expedite our elite proposition,” he told The PIE News.

The provider’s Guaranteed Outcome Programs via Kings Premium Universities are “the only pathway option in the US that truly offer international students an assured path to graduation from a top 50 or top 100 US university”, he added.

“This is currently achieved with a more than 80% of Kings’ students progressing into the top 100 and more than 51% attending a university ranked in the top 50,” Green explained.

The provider also announced international school Kings Tirana in Albania in 2018.
