China: SKEMA p’ships open opportunities

France-based SKEMA Business School will create a joint school with China’s Nanjing University, while it will also launch a master’s degree in entrepreneurship and innovation in partnership with Xi’an Jiaotong University.

The agreement will Nanjing University will establish the NAU-SKEMA Institute, which will aim to enrol some 300 undergraduate-degree seeking students.

It will begin recruiting its first cohort of students in China from September 2020, via the national Gaokao exam.

Hybrid courses include financial engineering, audit, information management and information systems management and engineering management, and on successful completion, students will be granted two diplomas – the NAU General Undergraduate Diploma of Higher Education and the SKEMA four-year Global BBA Diploma.

Additionally, the two-year master’s program in Entrepreneurship and Innovation with Xi’an Jiaotong seeks to recruit around 60 students annually, beginning at the start of the 2020 academic year.

The degree – focusing on data management and artificial intelligence – is open to candidates with the equivalent of a “Bac+3” or “Bac+5”.

“These joint cooperation projects contribute to deepening educational exchanges between France and China and I am happy that SKEMA finds its place in them,” said Alice Guilhon, SKEMA’s managing director.

“They are also a strong link in the school’s SKY25 strategic plan to pursue its international development, which is based, in parallel with the opening of international hubs, on agreements with the best institutions in the world.”
