Aus: StudyPerth opens dedicated student hub

Published 14/08/2020

Perth’s international students have a new place in which to collaborate, innovate and make new connections and prosper, with the StudyPerth Student Hub officially open in a central location this week.

The StudyPerth Student Hub is a collaborative facility in the city that helps international students prosper by providing professional, social and cultural opportunities and employment-based programs to enhance their student experience and career prospects.

“We are proud to have created an engaging and collaborative space that both international students and our members are excited to use”

It will also provide services designed to improve students’ wellness and wellbeing, creating a holistic and positive student experience.

StudyPerth CEO Phil Payne said there had been a great deal of interest among the international education sector and the international student cohort since the Hub officially opened.

“The development and opening of the Hub has been many months in the planning, and we are proud to have created an engaging and collaborative space that both international students and our members are excited to use,” he said.

By focusing on employability and entrepreneurship, the StudyPerth Student Hub will attract new employers to engage with international students and provide employers with a pool of diverse global talent.

The Hub is designed to complement StudyPerth ProsPER, a free online platform which provides employability services for international students – spanning the entire student lifecycle.

ProsPER aims to equip students with the skills, experience, networks, confidence and knowledge needed to prosper in their study, lives and careers. Both ProsPER and the Hub will be adaptable and expandable to respond to student requirements.

“Already planned is a legal support service and a financial/budgeting management service, both of which will be provided online, within ProsPER and in the Hub,” Payne added.
