A US$162 million school is set to open in Thailand in August 2020, expected to teach up to 1,800 Thai and international students from pre-nursery to Grade 12.

According to the school’s founding head, Cameron Fox, the idea for the school – VERSO International School – started with the question: how can we design a new international school that will truly prepare its students for a world that is changing faster than at any other time in human history?

Designed by U City Plc. and Fortune Hand Ventures Ltd from Hong Kong, the school promises to be built with students’ interests and passions at its core, as well as representing a “turning of the page” in international school design.

“It is my long-term goal to create something that will benefit future generations”

Fortune Hand’s investment is also the largest single foreign investment in international schooling in Thailand, according to the companies.

In Fortune Hand, U City Plc has found the right partner “to build an international school that truly provides an innovative and highly progressive educational experience in Bangkok”, Keeree Kanjanapas, chairman of the board of directors of U City Plc, said.

“It is my long-term goal to create something that will benefit future generations, not only to add value to our business,” Kanjanapas added.

VERSO will be the largest school in the Bangkok metro area, covering an area of 66 acres.

“VERSO’s futuristic campus offers students an incredible place to explore, learn and grow,” a spokesperson for the school said.

“Inspired and empowered, VERSO is invested in the future of international education, shaping students with the confidence and skills to lead their own journey.”
