UCLan CEG centre grads gain UCAS option

International students can now apply to up to five universities through UCAS after graduating from Cambridge Education Group‘s ONCAMPUS centre on the University of Central Lancashire campus.
The pathway provider has rebranded its UCLan centre as ONCAMPUS UK North, which will become the company’s second ‘hub-and-spoke model’ following in the footsteps of its ONCAMPUS London centre, the provider has said.

The services the London centre offers include UCAS one-to-one appointments and drop-in sessions, interview practice, and academic references. ONCAMPUS UK North will provide similar services.
Vikki Thompson, ONCAMPUS UK North Centre head, said the change will give international students more options to study in UK universities.
“We are pleased to be able to expand our offering enabling students to apply to a range of other top UK universities, including our partner UCLan,” Thompson said.
“Students will continue to receive an outstanding level of teaching and support and through our dedicated higher education team be guided through the UCAS application process.”
ONCAMPUS grads will be able to apply to any five UK universities, along with the option of guaranteed progression (subject to achieving progression criteria) to UCLan, Nicola Pegram, marketing manager at CEG said.
“The centre will, for now, continue to offer its existing package of courses with students that choose not to progress to UCLan applying to other university destinations via UCAS,” Pegram explained.
“It is our aim to be able to offer a wide range of progression options to international students both through single progression partners and hub-and-spoke models.”
According to CEG, students have already achieved places at UK universities such as Durham University, the University of York and the University of Manchester.
