Pathway provider, Cambridge Education Group, has opened two regional offices in the UAE and Thailand to bring its total number of offices worldwide to 23, in 23 territories.

Chief executive of CEG, Michael Ioakimides, opened the office in Dubai in April and said that local offices was vital to expand business.

“Providing localised support will enable us to deliver the highest standards”

“We pride ourselves on giving our agents and partners the best support possible,” Ioakimides said. “Our investment in local regional offices to support the continued development of our partnerships is very important to us.”

He added that CEG, founded over 65 years ago, continues to see substantial growth. By partnering with more than 1,000 global agents, the company can recruit students from 110 countries each year, he said.

“Providing localised support, focused on developing our partnerships, will enable us to deliver the highest standards our partners and their students demand,” according to Ioakimides.

The Thailand office in Bangkok opened in March and will be the permanent base for nine staff including CATS, ONCAMPUS and Stafford House International.

Speaking to The PIE News, Andrea Grassby, marketing director of ONCAMPUS and CATS confirmed the location choices reflected the growth areas the business has seen.

“We have seen significant growth throughout the Middle East, particularly for our ONCAMPUS centres, recently and the investment in both the new office and staff located in the region is in direct response to this.,” she said.

Grassby also told The PIE that more growth is possible in a fertile partnerships sector.

“As our in-market teams expand we are continually looking at new opportunities and hope to be able to share further news later this year,” she revealed.

The 2017 Annual Agent Awards marked the office opening in the Thai capital.

CEG partners with UK HEIs including Birkbeck, Royal Holloway University and Goldsmiths and has study centres at SUNY and Boston in the US.

In February, CEG announced a partnership with Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, US.
