Whitecliffe Global buys Berlin International University of Applied Sciences

The group – which already includes Whitecliffe New Zealand and Whitecliffe-TFI – has bought Berlin International University of Applied Sciences.

The university has now officially rebranded as Whitecliffe University of Applied Sciences, marking the group’s next steps in its global expansion strategy and bringing the latest acquisition in line with its other operations. The group also has near-future plans to launch operations in Canada, as well as the UAE.

Executive chairman Feroz Ali said the group wanted its students to be able to pursue their education across multiple countries, “gaining unparalleled exposure to diverse industries, innovations, and global perspectives”.

“By bringing Whitecliffe University of Applied Sciences into our portfolio as our first true university, we are creating seamless pathways for students to thrive in an interconnected world,” he said.

The acquisition adds to the group’s presence in Europe, offering students English-taught programs in disciplines such as architecture, design and business.

The Berlin institution will also be twinned with other Whitecliffe institutions in New Zealand and Australia to introduce dual-degree programs, meaning students at the group’s Australasian institutions can earn full university qualifications.
