Top ELT school Berlitz Dublin joins ILSC Education Group
The deal, announced on August 7, marked the company’s first foray into Europe.
Ireland is one of the most popular destinations for students learning English, consistently ranking within the top five alongside the UK and the US, and is “one of the most exciting places to learn English right now”, according to Christopher Mediratta, CEO of ILSC Education Group.
Mediratta hopes to bring the company’s forward-thinking, dynamic learning style to students in Berlitz Dublin, he said.
“We’re incredibly excited to bring this dynamic city into our global network and to build on the momentum that Mark and his talented team have created at Berlitz Dublin,” he continued.

Berlitz Dublin marks ILSC’s 10th school, joining the group’s other schools in locations such as New Delhi and Toronto.

It opened its doors over 100 years ago in 1900 as one of the earliest language schools to open in Ireland, utilising the immersive “Berlitz Method” created by Maximilllian Berlitz in 1878 to deliver innovative language learning to students around the world.
The school, situated in the heart of Dublin, will begin transitioning to ILSC ownership within the coming months.
New General English elective class options will be available for students arriving in January 2026, bolstering Berlitz Dublin’s current selection, which includes English, French and Hindi programs.
