Tetr bags major award for innovative business education
Tetr was recognised for its unique model – where students build business ventures around the world, rotating country to country. They earn a UK-accredited degree through Middlesex University via UBI Business School, stopping off at partner institutions including Cornell University in the US, IIT in India and NUS in Singapore during the program.
It snagged the award after a four-stage evaluation process by QS Quacquarelli Symonds. The QS Gold Award for Innovation in Business Education highlights institutions that are innovating in business education, with judges looking at real-world impact, international immersion and scalable student outcomes.
Tetr’s founder Pratham Mittal said the win marked “an important validation of the work of our students, faculty and partners are doing across countries”.
“This model was built to give students real-world experience, international exposure and industry-aligned outcomes, and it is encouraging to see that recognised at a global level,” Mittal added.
Tarun Gangwar, co-founder and COO, said: “This recognition comes at a pivotal moment as we prepare to open new campuses in the US, Europe and Dubai. Our focus is on ensuring academic quality, operational consistency and strong career outcomes across every location.”
It follows a USD$18-million-funding round by Tetr in November, co-led by Owl Ventures and Bertelsmann India Investments. The money will help the institution open new campuses across Europe, the US and Dubai as it expands its 10-country operating network.

Tetr said its applications had soared by more than 50% year on year, and that it is now home to 200 students from 50 countries around the world.
The business school’s first undergraduate cohort launched a total of 44 ventures, generating over USD$324,000 in revenue – with some even attracting external investment.
Tetr is now also offering postgraduate education with a one-year master in management of technology, which it said is designed for early-career professionals and founders focussing on AI-enabled projects.
It is also moving to widen its influence by working with governments to bring its ‘learn by doing’ model to local communities. The college’s head of strategic partnerships (UK and Europe), Ananya Bhadauria, recently told The PIE News that Tetr was working on a new initiative called the Punjab Project.
“We recently launched a major initiative with the Punjab State Government to bring Tetr’s learning model – building businesses alongside academic study – into colleges and universities across the state,” she explained.
Tetr was founded in 2024 with an innovate multi-country undergraduate program – allowing students to get real-world experience by launching ventures across the US, India, Singapore, Dubai, Argentina and Ghana alongside their learning.
