Studiosity expands portfolio with Norvalid acquisition

The move extends Studiosity‘s platform, offering institutions a ‘support and validate’ option instead of the pervasive ‘police and punish’ approach to identifying work that can been created using AI.

Norvalid, established is 2023, is a Norwegian edtech company with an aim to safeguard authentic writing despite the widespread use of AI.

Norvalid’s technology includes a slew of authorship validation tools, such as digital linguistic fingerprinting and authentic learning confirmation tools tailored to individual students and submissions. The suite of new tools will be added to Studiosity’s existing AI wiritng feedback and capability building.

Studiosity, which was recognised at this year’s PIEoneers Awards, said its existing education partners will be prioritised in deploying the new integrated solution through an early access program in the first quarter of next year.

The deal is expected to complete by December 1.
