StudiesIn buys major student portal network to boost European reach
The acquisition includes some of the longest-established student information sites in the region – such as Studying-in-Spain.com, Studying-in-UK.org and Studying-in-France.org – and is expected to significantly increase StudiesIn’s visibility and student reach across key European destinations.
The network StudiesIn bought was part of Inquero.com network and the company acquired 9 sites in total.
StudiesIn offers end-to-end services to prospective international students, including program matching, multilingual support and guidance on accessing public universities with lower tuition fees.
“With this acquisition, we’re accelerating our mission to become Europe’s top study abroad portal,” said StudiesIn CEO and co-founder Tom Miessen. “It strengthens our ability to connect students with high-quality educational opportunities and amplifies our platform’s value to students and institutions alike.”
The move comes amid shifting international student flows, with many increasingly turning to continental Europe amid tighter visa and immigration policies in more traditional destinations such as the UK and US.

The founder of the acquired network, Besart Bajrami of NextSEO, said he was proud to “leave a legacy that goes beyond just information, empowering even more students” to pursue study abroad.
StudiesIn plans to integrate the new assets into its platform in the coming quarter, while expanding marketing and launching new student support tools. The company is also currently raising €500,000 to fund further growth, with €200,000 already secured from investors and via crowdfunding platform Crowdcube.
The company ultimately aims to serve more than 1 million international students in Europe each year.
