Spotlight on… ILSC Education Group
- Tell us about your group and its role within Ireland’s education landscape.
ILSC Education Group has been delivering transformative learning experiences since 1961 across Canada, Australia, the USA, and India. On August 1st, we acquired Berlitz Dublin – our first foray into Europe, a significant step in our story. We’re thrilled to have joined Ireland’s strong and collaborative community of education providers and contribute to its vibrant international education ecosystem. - What sets your group apart from others?
ILSC is deeply committed to student-centred learning. We design programs that empower students to shape their own educational journeys, supported by passionate educators and a global network. Our expansion into Ireland reflects our belief in the power of education to connect cultures and create meaningful change – and we’re excited to bring that ethos to Dublin. - What makes Ireland such an attractive destination for international students?
Ireland offers academic excellence, a rich cultural heritage, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The friendliness and wit of the Irish people makes a lasting impression on students, while the country’s dynamic industries and work opportunities add real value to their experience. - How do you see the Irish higher education sector evolving over the next five years?
Ireland is consolidating its position as the largest international education market outside the traditional “big four”. We expect continued diversification in program offerings, stronger career alignment, and a deepening of its global reputation. It’s a sector that’s maturing with confidence and purpose. - Are there particular markets or student segments you’re looking to grow in the near future?
We’re looking to leverage our global reach – particularly in Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East – to bring an ever more diverse student population to Ireland. At the heart of this is our mission to deliver student-centred learning experiences that are personalised, immersive, and transformative. - Outside of work, what’s one thing a visitor to Ireland shouldn’t miss?
Dublin is the start point, and The Liberties district is the city’s hidden gem – gritty, historic, and full of character just steps from the centre. Its cobbled streets echo centuries of brewing and distilling, from Guinness’s iconic gates to boutique spots like Teeling and Pearse Lyons. Once the city’s industrial heart, it now blends old warehouses, repurposed churches, and local markets. - What attracted you to take part in The PIE Live Ireland?
The PIE Live Ireland is a fantastic opportunity to connect with global peers, share our story, and learn from others shaping the future of international education. We’ve been honored to have participated in PIE Live events in Boston and Gold Coast. As we expand into Europe, it’s the perfect moment to engage with the sector and build meaningful partnerships. - Which sessions on the agenda are you most looking forward to attending, and why?
As with any PIE LIVE event, which we attend throughout the world, the ILSC Education Group team look forward to excellent thought leadership, supported by underlying data and trends. This thought leadership, along with the opportunity for the ILSC Education Group team to connect with peers in the sector, is invaluable as we all plan for growth, especially as ILSC Dublin carves out our space as a new entrant in the Dublin market.
