Northeastern University to host its annual US higher education expos across India in Hyderabad, Mumbai and Bengaluru this August
Northeastern University, a globally recognised private research institution based in Boston, and with campus locations in Arlington, VA; Charlotte, NC; Miami, FL; Oakland, CA; Seattle, WA; Silicon Valley, CA; London, UK; Toronto, ON; and Vancouver, BC, will host its annual Global Study Expo across three major cities in India this August – marking the largest such events since 2024.
The expos will take place in Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Bengaluru on August 9, 10, and 12, respectively.
A delegation of more than 15 senior leaders from Northeastern’s global network, including chief enrolment officer, Satyajit Dattagupta, will participate in the events. Originally from Mumbai and an alumnus of the US international student system, Dattagupta will deliver the keynote address, highlighting Northeastern’s global mission, diverse academic portfolio, and commitment to accessible, world-class education.
“I came to the US at 17 on a scholarship to study computer science,” he said. “Throughout my career, I’ve been drawn to institutions that champion global access and academic excellence – principles that are core to Northeastern’s identity.”
Northeastern enrols more than 14,000 international students and offers over 250 undergraduate and graduate programs. Consistently ranked among the top 50 US universities by U.S. News & World Report, the university is a leader in experiential learning through its signature co-op and internship programs – recognised as the top program of its kind in the nation.

Expo attendees will connect directly with faculty and staff from Northeastern’s nine colleges, including the College of Professional Studies, Khoury College of Computer Sciences and the College of Engineering. Sessions will explore cutting-edge academic fields, experiential learning opportunities, and the admissions process, as well as provide a deep dive into the university’s distinctive educational model. Representatives from Northeastern’s global campus system – spanning 13 locations across the US, Canada, and the UK – will also be in attendance.
In addition, immigration experts will be available to guide students on visa procedures and work authorisation options in both the US and Canada. Each event will conclude with an interactive alumni panel, where former students will share personal stories of how Northeastern shaped their academic and professional success.
The events will take place at the ITC Kohenur in Hyderabad on August 9, the JW Marriott in Mumbai on August 10, and at the JW Marriott Hotel in Bengaluru on August 12.
Prospective students are strongly encouraged to register in advance and can save the date at northeastern.edu/IndiaStudyExpoUG for undergraduate studies and northeastern.edu/IndiaEXPO for graduate studies.
