What do you like most about your job?

What I like most about my job is the interactions I have with students, alumni, faculty, and staff.

Best work trip/Worst work trip?

Best: Any trip with a lot of engagement.

Worst: Trips that led to nothing.

If you could learn a language instantly, which would you pick and why?

I would pick Mandarin, as it is widely spoken.

What makes you get up in the morning?

It is the excitement about going to work and chasing new initiatives every day.

Champion/cheerleader we should all follow and why?

The late HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (May God bless his soul and send him to heaven) for his wisdom, charisma, vision, passion, and the legacy he left.

Best international ed conference and why?

I would say our international conference on advancing sustainable futures: well-organised, engaging, and addressing topical issues.

Worst conference food/beverage experience?

Any conference where the food is done on the cheap.

Book or podcast recommendation for others in the sector?

I recommend my four research books on nD modeling, process mapping, computer-aided design, and facilities management. Outside my books, I recommend “The Prophet” by Kahlil Gibran.

Describe a project or initiative you’re currently working on that excites you.

We are working on an exciting research project with the University of Cambridge and the American University of Beirut in the area of digital twins.
