Summary and IHE Response

 

The Government has published its updated International Education Strategy, which recognises the power of international education to enhance the UK’s global standing and drive growth. The three key ambitions of the strategy are:

 

  • To increase the UK’s international standing through education and make the UK the global partner of choice at every stage of learning.
  • To sustainably recruit high-quality international higher education students from a diverse range of countries.
  • To grow the value of education exports to £40 billion a year by 2030, “backing providers to deliver UK education overseas in new and expanding markets”
