Continuing a season that has seen a growing number of acquisitions, technology solution provider Marcom Connect has announced its acquisition by software company Egylis.

The Paris-based software and digital solutions provider for event organisers promises to “spruce up” the development of “innovative solutions” for Marcom, hoping to pass those benefits down through to clients.

“Egylis and Marcom have instantly identified strong technical and commercial converging points while being both focused on the event sector,” Marcom Connect founder Jean-Claude Sechet told The PIE News.

He went on to say that he was “proud” of Marcom’s achievements over the past 22 years, since the company’s founding.

“Our clients tell us that we’ve revolutionised the appointment scheduling process for b2b events in the field of international education – we have faced many challenges, but we’ve always come out stronger,” Sechet said on the announcement.

“Egylis values Marcom’s expertise and is committed to keeping the same level of customer satisfaction”

As part of the acquisition, which took place in early September, Egylis’s dedicated IT experts will be brought in to help supercharge Marcom’s current team, allowing for “new functions with a shorter go-to-market time”.

“We already offer large scale meeting schedulers for various event sectors, so we quickly understood Marcom’s unique expertise in the field of international education.

“We are excited to work with the Marcom team and all existing and new clients”, said Tanguy de Pommereau, Marcom’s new CEO.

Sechet added that the new team will help Marcom “implement new technical and commercial processes”, as well as “open up new doors and markets”. On the other side, Egylis clients will also benefit from Marcom’s current solutions package.

“Egylis values Marcom’s expertise and is committed to keeping the same level of customer satisfaction which has been the trademark of Marcom over the past 22 years,” Sechet commented while speaking with The PIE.

Sechet also complimented de Pommereau and Eric Godefroy, who are also co-founders of Egylis, on “taking Marcom to the next level”.

“I am totally confident that the Marcom Team, our clients, and all users are in good hands. I will remain available to assist them as needed,” Sechet added.
