Cturtle reveals new employment platform JOB+

Employment network Cturtle has launched JOB+ in a bid to connect international students and graduates with work opportunities globally.

Exclusively available to students, graduates and alumni of registered university partners, the JOB+ platform aims to provide employment benefits and connections with over 350,000 “local, regional and global hiring managers and recruiters”, using machine learning and employment data.

According to Shane Dillion, founder and CEO of Cturtle, JOB+ gives international students access to the “hidden” job market where positions are not advertised by employers.

“It is often who you know, not what you know that helps graduates get a great job,” he told The PIE.

The platform works with hiring managers in students’ home countries as well as abroad that are known to have hired international students, graduates and alumni in the past, he added.

“It connects [students] directly to a global network of hiring managers at companies who have hired previous international students or graduates, even if they do not advertise their job openings.”

Profiles are compared with “employment data from 1.5 million international alumni, identifying companies, hiring managers and alumni”. The platform then links students according to similar profiles that have been hired over a period of three years.

JOB+ also boasts “the very best global career and employability coaches”, while offering accredited online career readiness and employability courses, global talent profiles and webinar series, CV and LinkedIn services and optional academic credit.

University partners range across Canada, Australia, US, UK, Taiwan, India, Hong Kong, New Zealand, ASEAN, MENA and Latin America.
