Nord Anglia to launch 19th school in China

International schools organisation Nord Anglia Education has announced is 10th bilingual school will open in China in September.

With the nine international schools the company has in China, Nord Anglia School Suzhou will be the organisation’s 19th school in China and will teach 6-18 year olds from September 1.

“Our newest bilingual school represents another significant milestone for Nord Anglia given our long-standing role as an international education provider in China,” Andrew Fitzmaurice, the company’s chief executive officer, said.

“Our students at NAS Suzhou will have access to world-class learning opportunities through our global family of schools and will be taught by our talented international and national teachers.

“We look forward to opening our doors to many new students in September who will experience the best in bilingual education.”

The state-of-the-art campus will cater to over 1,700 students and accommodate 664 boarders.

Having been licensed by the local Education Bureau, NAS Suzhou pledges to immerse students in a bilingual education experience based on China’s national curriculum and blended with Nord Anglia’s international teaching pedagogy and resources.

Via its technology-enabled learning platform Global Campus, NAS Suzhou students will be able to connect with peers at the organisation’s 73 schools, operating across 30 countries.

Nord Anglia educates some 67,000 students globally.

Earlier this year, three Oxford-based schools in the UK joined Nord Anglia through a deal with Oxford International.
