Globeducate adds three schools to ICS group

Globeducate has announced an expansion of its ICS group of international schools with three new locations in France and Italy.

ICS schools will open in Rome, Nice and Côte d’Azur, and teach the IB curriculum with a focus on developing intercultural understanding and engagement.

They will join other ICS schools in Paris, London and Milan.

Globeducate CEO Luca Uva explained that the schools in the group have “a very clear international character and outlook”.

“There has never been a more important time for schools to be international – in outlook, character and form,” Uva said. “ICS students are exposed to a diverse mix of cultures, languages and nationalities and a dedicated focus on multi-lingualism and fluency in English.”

“Our students have extensive opportunities to look outwards, to develop the confidence needed to take risks, and to explore new strategies and ideas”

Experiences at the schools will allow students to progress to “leading universities and internship opportunities and to remain connected to their network long after graduation”, he continued.

Projects such as its ICS STEAM framework, launching recently with involvement of LEGO Education, help to unite the group of schools through “transformational learning as well as through shared traditions and education”.

Other co-curricular activities spread across the community of ICS schools include Model United Nations, Academic Olympics, International Music Festival and Leadership Summit.

They are also connected with Globeducate’s wider membership of 55 schools in nine countries.

“Our students have extensive opportunities to look outwards, to develop the confidence needed to take risks, and to explore new strategies and ideas,” added Antonia Giovanazzi, executive principal at ICS Milan.

“We know that embedding these core beliefs and the ICS principles of Inquire, Action and Reflection at an early stage of education, and embedding it in every educational stage, fosters a culture of excellence and, across our network, we see students go on to reap the rewards in their success at graduation and in their future work, in their relationships and in their ability to shape tomorrow.”
