New Zealand: ISANA NZ rebrands

Published 30/10/2019

The New Zealand branch of Australasian student support and advocacy group, ISANA, has unveiled new branding, which it says will better reflect its mission of professionalising international education.

Central to the new branding, which was released at ISANA NZ’s annual conference in Wellington, sees the organisation’s website overhauled.

Meanwhile, the original logo and blue remain unchanged, however, yellow has been added to ISANA NZ’s corporate colours to reflect their work at the coalface of international education.

“We are at the forefront of industry… and now have a brand that reflects that”

Among the goals of the rebrand, ISANA NZ executive officer Chris Beard added the change in appearance would also help to distinguish better the New Zealand branch, established in 2001, from its Australia counterpart.

“It was definitely time for a new, more distinct look for ISANA NZ,” said executive officer Chris Bear.

“We are at the forefront of industry professionalisation, specifically the development of professional pathways and sector-specific qualifications, and now have a brand that reflects that.”

Focussed on professionalising international education, particularly for those working within student services and teachers, both branches of ISANA have recently begun creating formal courses and qualifications around the sector.

Themed ‘Promoting professional pathways, sustainability’, and student wellbeing, ISANA NZ’s 2019 conference attracted over 100 delegates from across New Zealand and Australia’s international education industries, including students.

“Our conference was a resounding success in terms of participant numbers and engagement and was the perfect platform to introduce the new ‘face’ of ISANA NZ,” Beard said.

ISANA’s New Zealand and Australian branches are expected to hold their quadrennial joint conference in December 2020.
