Middle East-based education agency Yes Atlas will directly serve its first non-Arabic-speaking student body as it moves into the Latin American market.

With a new location opening in Mexico City, Yes Atlas’ tally of offices will reach seven, adding to locations in Saudi Arabia, Oman, UAE, and Kuwait where the agency employs more than 60 staff.

“We mainly focus on English speaking countries and some European countries”

Yes Atlas’ digital wing findcourse.com offers prospective students in Mexico a Spanish language option to book language school and university courses. And the new office will allow for face-to-face counsellor appointments, according to CEO and founder Haitam Giat.

“After research about growing language markets and speaking to several school partners, we have decide that next step for us should be Latin America,” he explained.

The next stage of expansion will be to Brazil, where Yes Atlas is expected to open an office by August or September 2019. The firm is aiming to enter Colombia later in 2019, or in 2020.

The agency has already created a Portuguese version of its online portal to prepare recruiting prospective Brazilian students – the site is already available in Russian.

“We mainly focus on English speaking countries and some European countries as well such as Germany. Canada is the main market for Mexican students for English courses and higher education,” Giat told The PIE News.

Giat moved to live in Mexico City for four months while learning the market, taking Spanish lessons, and hiring a local qualified team, and the office has been operating for over a month.

“February was our first month, in March we managed to recruit 20 students, we do expect to do 250-300 students in our first year,” he explained to The PIE.
